I wasn't sure what to expect through my sessions with Amber but am so thankful for the time that we worked together. As a stay-at-home Mom to a five-year-old and a two-year-old, I have grown so accustomed to living in absolute survival mode. Prior to my sessions with Amber I never considered the effects that metaphorically "running on empty" was having on me. Within just one session we got to the root of some of the issues I realized I was having, and agreed upon and implemented goals for me to work toward for the following session. I was able to achieve those goals and gain a level of introspective reflection that I had not been making time for. By the end of my sessions with Amber I'm feeling more in-control of myself and my schedule. When we began our sessions, I had just given birth to my 5th child. My energy levels were consistently low, my body was responding poorly to some of the foods in my diet, and I struggled frequently with recurring mastitis. For years, I’ve also struggled psychologically with the trauma of some medical procedures I’d had when I was 18-20 years old. The sessions brought awareness and also gave me some achievable action items to address both the physical and psychological challenges I was facing, which produced many positive downstream effects in my relationships, productivity and general well being.

 

Working with you was truly a pleasure. I felt at-ease during our discussions and was comfortable speaking freely about a variety of subjects that I often keep private. I felt that we were able to establish trust fairly quickly and didn’t feel pressured to share at a pace that exceeded my comfort level. I think what I enjoyed most was how genuine you are and how you teach and share wisdom in a relatable, respectful way, while still challenging me to be introspective and honestly assess myself and what I can do to set and achieve goals to improve my life. You were able to guide me to think critically and encourage me in the areas I was succeeding, even if I had not recognized my own succeses, however small or large. Also, you were fun to meet with and I appreciated the amount of laughter we shared in the sessions, alongside the serious nature of some topics we covered. 

 

I did my best to use the sessions and time between them to put into practice the goals and tasks I committed to. As a direct result from those focused exercises, I was able to process some of the emotions I’d been stuffing or avoiding for years, which allowed me to gain perspective on some of the areas of my life that have stagnated. I’ve also gained a broader and deeper understanding of the source of some of my physiological challenges, which has given me clarity on the areas I have the capacity to modify vs the areas that I may need to make peace with and move forward with renewed resolve. There were a few specific topics you introduced me to, and I am very much looking forward to continuing researching and studying those areas more. I still have much to learn and areas to continue to grow in, but I feel confident moving forward with the new tools you’ve given me.  

 

Ultimately, I’ve learned that I’m stronger than I give myself credit for, and there are many potential solutions I can explore and test to affect positive change in my life. The connection between mental/emotional/spiritual health and physical well being is deep and undeniable, essential for holistic welfare. I am grateful to have been given this opportunity, and appreciate your time, energy and the efforts you've poured into my life over the five weeks we met together. You’ve truly had a positive impact on my life and I feel confident you've aided in changing my life for the better. I walk away from our time together with knowledge, renewed interests and tools I now use daily. I will happily recommend you to anyone seeking healing, growth and positive change.
